Devatarchane

As taught in the Pāñcarātra and other Āgamas, Deva Pūjā (ritual worship of the Lord) is one of the foremost means of attaining the grace of Bhagavān. The Śrīmad Bhāgavata declares, “Na devā mṛcchilāmayāḥ”, emphasizing that the Deity is not merely an image of clay or stone. Therefore, while worshipping the Lord in consecrated icons (Pratimās), contemplation of the Golaka-traya is of paramount importance. When worship is performed with this understanding and in accordance with the procedures prescribed in the Tantrasāra, it becomes a means of receiving the divine grace of the Supreme Lord.
